NFPA’s Annual Fire Experience Survey Is Underway

The National Fire Protection Association’s (NFPA) Annual Fire Experience Survey of U.S. Fire Departments for 2011 was mailed out to 19,885 departments on January 10. The survey was sent to all departments protecting larger communities with populations of 50,000 or more, and to a sample of departments protecting smaller communities with populations less than 50,000.

It is important that all departments that receive a survey form in the mail respond, especially departments protecting smaller communities and are comprised mostly of volunteer firefighters. NFPA is truly appreciative of fire departments that receive a survey form and respond. Results of the survey will be published in the annual U.S. Fire Loss Report in the September/October issue of the NFPA Journal.
