Glamour Magazine Looking for Firefighters to Feature

Glamour magazine is working on a story for their September issue on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and has asked the NVFC for assistance. Part of the story will feature people who went into a service-related profession (firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, etc.) as a result of 9/11. They are looking for women between the ages of 20 and 40 who did not lose a loved one in the attacks, but were so touched by the events that they decided to dedicate their lives to these services.

If you or someone you know fits this description, please send an email to Kimberly@nvfc.org that includes the following:

• Name and age
• Description of position and brief description of what they’ve accomplished so far in the emergency services
• A description of how 9-11 specifically motivated them to become a firefighter, EMT, etc.

Please send your recommendation by 4pm EDT on Wednesday, April 27.
