Big Things Coming for Power Those Who Protect Us

We’re now two months into the Power Those Who Protect Us program and the National Volunteer Fire Council and Duracell want to thank you once again for rallying your neighbors and friends to support your department and other volunteers across the country.

Last week, with the help of nearly 300 news outlets, including USA Today and the Associated Press, we unveiled the next phase of our program. After a successful launch, which focused on generating awareness for your hard work and unwavering dedication, we’ll now focus on expressing our gratitude for your sacrifices through a number of ‘Thank You’ initiatives.

As many of you have seen by now, we’ve partnered with Grammy Award-winning artist Cee Lo Green, who has a personal connection to the cause, and will be releasing ‘Thank You,’ a free, limited-edition charity track and music video, later this month. Additionally, we’ll be encouraging communities to do their part in thanking their volunteers, including hosting a series of ‘Thank You’ events and fundraisers in select cities.
