NVFC Training Summit

WHEN: Friday, June 3, 8:00am-5:00pm and Saturday, June 4, 8am-noon  

WHERE: Embassy Suites Dallas DFW Airport North, 2401 Bass Pro Drive, Grapevine, TX.

A special room rate of $145 will be available to attendees. The Embassy Suites features a complimentary breakfast and evening reception. Additionally, there is a free shuttle to/from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The hotel is walking distance to restaurants, an aquarium, golf course, outlet mall, and several other attractions. PURPOSE: This event will provide an opportunity to share ideas and best practices, network, and participate in valuable training. Attendees will be able to select six out of 12 breakout sessions to attend, with sessions addressing key topics in first responder health and safety. Full course descriptions will be available in February 2016.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: The conference is open to all volunteer firefighters, EMTs, department leadership, and other fire department personnel from across the United States. Attendance is limited.

COST: The registration fee for the Summit is $75 per person. This fee covers one and a half days training and some meals refreshments throughout the weekend. The fee will be waived for individuals receiving a scholarship.

Apply for a Scholarship

To help more first responders attend the Summit, a scholarship is available for select attendees. The scholarship will reimburse up to $500.00 per person for lodging and transportation expenses, including hotel, round-trip airfare, and/or mileage. In addition, the registration fee of $75 will be waived.

A maximum of two representatives per department can receive reimbursement. To be considered eligible for reimbursement, you or your department must be a current member of the NVFC. Call for Papers

Interested in presenting at the Summit? We welcome subject matter experts to submit a proposal for a 90-minute presentation on a health and/or safety topic. Proposals are due by January 4, 2016. Find out more
